The Main Ingredient of any Recipe is Love
My passion for food began at a very young age, watching my grandmother cook, I was fascinated by watching all of the ingredients combine to make something delicious. Watching my Dad sling meat on the grill and my Grandmothers recipes come to life, created a primal passion for creating unique recipes that turned into award-winning creations.
As I grew older my love for Barbecue began, I began making my own rubs and sauces and putting my unique spin on Barbecue. After quite a bit of trial and error, I began catering car shows, concerts and motorcycle events around Kansas City. I was asked to cater McGee Street Events VIP Room which included serving Kevin Bacon and Billy Bob Thornton. I was originally scheduled for one day and was asked to cater the rest of the event and I sold out both nights. My events were growing even larger each year until I had an accident that required me to undergo spinal surgery. After several years of rehab, I had the opportunity to become the Pitmaster for the Kansas City Royals.
During my time with the Royals, I continued catering and teamed up with County Line Mud Runs as the exclusive caterer. Word of mouth traveled and I was asked to cater Barbecue to a few local Warsaw restaurants, which sold out each time. In May of this year, my family moved to Warsaw and I have been looking for a space to expand my passion into a permanent home in opening a restaurant.
